Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd., S. D. Jain Sr. Vice President / M.R.
"At Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd., we have recently experienced the value addition of the most comprehensive food safety assessment available, GMA-SAFE. The assessment takes an in depth look at a facility’s Food Quality, Food Safety, Food Defense & Food Regulatory systems. Due to its comprehensiveness & the highly experienced GMA SAFE auditor, the Auditee is encouraged to pursue continuous improvement to attain the highest judgment of “Fully Meets.” Since the GMA-SAFE auditor’s visit of the facility is approximately four days, GMA-SAFE reviews all quality, food safety & related programs, then inspects the facility itself to make sure all assessed programs are working as designed. The GMA SAFE collection tool (checklist) is available for free to all suppliers on the GMA-SAFE public website (www.gma-safe.com), thus allowing a supplier to perform a self assessment prior to the scheduled visit. On a recent customer visit, in which Jain Irrigation System Ltd performed quite well, the auditor remarked that, now that Jain’s has participated in the GMA-SAFE, the customer would no longer be required to re-visit this plant. With a professional staff, and experienced auditors, Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd believe we have finally found a third-party platform that will help us to attain our goal of delivering the highest quality, safest food in our specific portion of the food industry. GMA-SAFE is on the leading edge, “Assessment by One, Judged by All” "

“Nestle supports the use of the GMA-SAFE audit program. We have confidence in the scope of the audit and the competencies of the auditors who conduct them. The information gathered during the audit process is extremely useful to our organization and provides a valuable substitute to our own on-site presence. The GMA-SAFE program is administered and over-seen by a vigilant team who is very responsive to issues arising during any aspect of the audit process.”

“Safeway Quality Assurance feels that the GMA-SAFE assessment provides us with in-depth and comprehensive picture of our vendor’s programs, capabilities, and preparedness. Not only does the scoring function allow us to measure yearly improvement of our vendors; it allows us to benchmark our vendors within manufacturing categories. We feel that the GMA-SAFE assessment is a constantly evolving program that is able to respond to demands of the rapidly changing international food market.”
Welch's Kevin McHugh Manager, Corporate Quality & Packaging Engineering
“Welch’s has been using SAFE since its inception and endorse it as the best 3rd party audit available in the industry. Initially, the focus was as a tool for managing ingredient suppliers, and for system improvement of Welch's owned manufacturing plants. After positive experiences in these two areas, Welch’s has found success using SAFE as a tool to source foreign ingredient supplies, and evaluate new contract manufacturing opportunities. Most recently, we're finding success using the new packaging supplier audit. SAFE has enabled Welch's to better utilize its resources, provided a benchmark for gauging manufacturing capability, and become a key element in most Supply Chain processes. The SAFE auditors are considered an extension of our QA staff.”

“National Starch Food Innovation utilizes the GMA-SAFE audit program to bench mark our manufacturing sites against the latest food safety standards. The GMA-SAFE audit advises our management of any deficiencies and provides additional guidance and mechanisms to make improvements. GMA-SAFE provides a proven standard and methodology that can be confidently used by our food customers to evaluate our adherence to their standards. The resulting benefit of GMA-SAFE is fewer customer audits covering the same topics and the consequential benefit of fewer operational interruptions. Firmenich Inc. Vincent Presepe, Ph.D. Regional Director of Quality
"We found the GMA-SAFE Assessment System to be an excellent benchmark for Firmenich's robust Food Safety Systems. GMA-SAFE has enabled us to raise the bar for the safety and quality of the flavors we manufacture and to meet and exceed our customer's requirements on this subject. There is just the right balance between high level system requirements and the granularity necessary to assess and mitigate risk on the shop floor."
